Village scenes painted by Aziz Ahmedov, an upcoming Uzbek artist known for his study and paintings of architectural monuments and Uzbek life. Aziz has an amazing ability to depict light and in this series captures moonlight, lamp-lit windows and wisps of smoke.
His signature is Muhamadi as a tribute to his grandfather whose name was Muhammad and whose work inspired Aziz from a young age. Aziz attended the Republican Art School in Tashkent from age 9. He then went on to do his bachelor and master’s degrees from the Art Institute in Tashkent named after Kamoliddin Behzod. His thesis was on the Ak-Saray Palace in Shakhrisabz, his home town. He has done solo and group exhibitions in Moscow, Dubai, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.
