Persian Rugs

The art of carpet weaving in Iran is at least 3,500 years old. Persian carpets are traditionally known for their tremendous variety in design, colour, size and weave. They typically use one of four patterns: all-over, central medallion, compartment and one-sided. Common motifs include scrolling vine networks, arabesques, palmettes, cloud bands, medallions, and overlapping geometry.
