Uzbek Village by Day

This lovely village scene is painted by Aziz Ahmedov, an upcoming Uzbek artist known for his study and paintings of architectural monuments and Uzbek life. The painting has very aptly captured the daily life in an Uzbek village by depicting a person manning a clay oven with a child sitting and watching over him intently. Don't miss the clouds of smoke coming out of the clay oven.

His signature is Muhamadi as a tribute to his grandfather whose name was Muhammad and whose work inspired Aziz from a young age. Aziz attended the Republican Art School in Tashkent from age 9. He then went on to do his bachelor and master's degrees from the Art Institute in Tashkent named after Kamoliddin Behzod. His thesis was on the Ak-Saray Palace in Shakhrisabz, his home town. He has done solo and group exhibitions in Moscow, Dubai, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.

Simply framed, this oil painting can be complemented with similar longer ones from the village scene collection.
